Junquillal is a truly laid-back beach town with a number of restaurants, hotels and a small super market. No discos-just the noise of nature to keep you awake at night. If you are looking for a late-night nightlife then this is not your destination.
The weather in Junquillal is ideal year-round. The temperatures average 70-75 at night and 85-95 during the day. The green season begins mid-May and goes until mid-November. Junquillal is located in the Guanacaste area of Costa Rica which is very dry compared to the rest of the country. During the rainy season, the days are generally dry with afternoon showers. During October, there is a greater chance of rain all day.
There are many direct flights from US cities, Canada and Europe to Liberia
( LIR) or San Jose ( SJO). Liberia is 90 minutes by car from Hotelito

and San Jose is about 4 1/2 hours away by car, or 90 minutes by air
to
Tamarindo
and car to us. All major rental car companies do business in Costa
Rica
but there
are
also
plenty
of
taxis and
tour
buses available
to leave the driving to someone else. For the most flexibility in Junquillal,
we recommend a rental car. We can also provide local transfers to
Liberia or Tamarindo airports as
well
as local
sightseeing.
The rental
car companies will bring a car to our hotel for free if you have
a rental of at least 3 days.
